APOLLO 11 FLOWN BETA CLOTH SWATCH

Apollo 11 Flown Beta Cloth Segment Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection. A 1.125" square swatch excised from a larger flown insignia, flown aboard the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. Beta cloth is made from fire-safe Fiberglass Beta yarns, originated and developed by Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation. It was used in the space suits worn by the Apollo astronauts. This is a very desirable lunar-flown relic from this landmark mission. It is sealed in a numbered archival holder, CAG 1001506-016 with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
